Over the last 11 months the team has participated in 5 marathons, including Polokwane, Phalaborwa and Thohoyandou.

It is finally happening! We are very happy to announce that this year, Youth On a Mission formalized their mission statement and objectives and has assembled an independent Board.
On the 5-December 2017, we hosted our annual World AIDS day celebration at VMS, in partnership with TVEP. This year theme was: "Increasing impact through transparency, accountability and partnership."
The children participated in the Vhembe Crèche Choir Competition on 28-October 2017, competing against 23 other crèches from the Vhembe district.
Thank you to Tshivhase Tea Estate (Midi tea) for allowing our children to spend a day at their clubhouse in Thathe Vondo.
On 1-December 217, learners graduated from pre-school to grade R and we said farewell to our Grade R class as they move on to different schools in the villages
The Grade 11 learners from Emmanuel Christian School visited VMS on 22-August 2017. It was a great day and the older students had lots of fun playing games with the younger students.
Throughout the year, the vegetable garden has been feeding the school children and staff and allowing us to provide weekly food parcels to needy families in the community.
Unfortunately, the company we contracted to construct the building for us has not delivered on their promise to complete construction.
Thank you to Ms. Gina Yusypchuk, a Peace Corps Response volunteer who helped us design our new beautiful logo and provided assistance on our website. We had to say farewell to her in May and we wish her all the best in her next adventure.
